This term year 6 from Clydach primary school are doing tennis as part of their P.E lessons.
On the first lesson the class learned about how to control the ball. They did control exercises which include: bouncing the ball on the bat and under the bat; they dribbled with the ball. On the second to third lesson the class started to hit the ball to their partners in a little amount. It was hard at first but it got easier later said a unnamed pupil. On the forth to the fifth they started to play a proper game with a net (but in fact it was just a bit of tape). Tennis is a good game to be played we hope that the children will have fun with their P.E sessions. Reporters: Philip Robert Stevens and Josh Williams.

This term year 6 have been running laps to increase their fitness after lock down.
Every morning Mr McComas gives us five minutes to run ten laps which is half a mile. At the end of the week we add up all our laps and for each ten laps we get one point. After we get more than twelve points on RedCritter we receive our climb to Everest badge. Mr McComas says: " If you can do one lap in thirty seconds, you can do ten in five minutes.“ Overall year 6 find laps fun and enjoy running. |
